American Wine Enthusiast Magazine highlights the diversity and unique characteristics of the wine region of Lisbon. The wine region of Lisbon was chosen by the American wine magazine Wine Enthusiast as one of the 10 best wine destinations in the world.
“We are very enthusiastic about this distinction because it comes to reward the sustained work that we have been developing especially in this decade, where there has been an increase in certified and exported volume, both always in the order of two digits,” says Francisco Toscano Rico, the new president of the Vinhos de Lisboa.
Lisbon thus became the only capital of the world with a wine region with a distinction of this caliber, with the city’s tourism having contributed to the inclusion in the Top 10 of the best wine destinations in the world.
It is recalled that Wine Enthusiast is one of the largest international references in the world of wines, with more than 300 million volumes already printed.
