The Great Sendrée Cuvée was named after a parcel of ash-covered earth after the fire that struck Urville in 1838. A spelling error escaped in a new version of the land registry, it is with an “s” that this cuvée is designated today . A reproduction of a bottle of the eighteenth century found in the cellars of Urville is used and the Great Sendrée is completely handmade. Since the 1999 vintage, it is also available as Magnum.
