Monte Cascas Vinha da Carpanha

Sob consulta

On the streets of Penalva do Castelo, in the centre of the Dão, Mr. Francisco is known by everyone for two things: his temperament and his grapes. In contrast to his temperament, his grapes are sweet, and in contrast to how he treats others, he treats his grapes with the greatest care. After hearing about this, the winemakers of Casca Wines wasted no time. They wanted to meet this singular man and his valuable produce. They found the Carpanha vineyard, in the centre of Penalva. Truly old wines, miraculously planted on a patch of clay soil. All different, all good, and all unique. With a simple handshake ( and a promisse of a few bottles), Mr. Francisco agreed to sell his bunches of treasure to us. The grapes were treated with the usual care, and their juice poured into six generous barrels. Two years later, this wine was born.
